African Women Empowerment Forum

Overview

For women and children of African origin in Nottingham.
A social enterprise working to develop African women in communities. The charity provides a range of activities to strengthen and empower women socially, economically and academically. We provide confidence building and motivation workshops and a range of development activities.

What we do?

We support women integration process
Advice and sign posting women and young mothers to the relevant organisations
We Use the Empowerment model to build sustainability, confidence
Design conferences and workshops targeting at delivering and equipping world-class leadership skills and qualities in business and the society at large
Support women in business / social enterprise

Our Aims and Objectives
The organisation was established for the empowerment of women of African origin, in particular:

To stir them to speak out and challenge inequalities in society.
To advocate for women on gender issues, equality of access and non-discrimination, based on race, gender, age or immigration status.
To have an input on policies that impact on us locally and nationally.
