Behaviourally Intensive Community Support (BICS), Provided by Positive Support Group

Overview

The BICS service provided by Positive Support Group (PSG) in Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire provides behavioural support to young people, families and support agencies (including; respite services, schools, residential care providers, and carers).

The commissioned service is aimed at supporting individuals within their local area, to prevent placement breakdown or hospital admission. Individuals must have an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and/or learning disability (LD) diagnosis and be under the age of 18. The referral pathway for BICS in Nottinghamshire is through the Dynamic Support Register (DSR).

We also offer a Positive Support Now (PSN) service for individuals who may not meet the criteria for the commissioned service. This service can support individuals of any age, with or without formal diagnosis.

We also support Providers, providing service wide and person-specific positive behaviour support in residential, supported living and other community settings.
