Bramcote Pre-School Playgroup

We arrange a prestart visit with parent. Parents are encouraged to visit the setting prior to adding their child's name onto our waiting list.
If your child is unsettled during their first sessions and we are unable to comfort them we will ring the parent/carer to return to preschool and stay with them. Parents are supported to extend the time they leave their child until the child is settled. We work closely with parents to help children to settle with us. We send Tapestry photographs and observations to parents to reassure them that their child is settled.
Prior to the child starting we meet with the parent to complete an All about me document, which help parents to share their knowledge of their child with us.
We use Tapestry (online learning journal) to share what their child has been doing and what we will be working on next. We encourage parents to share on Tapestry, photographs and information of achievements, holidays and outings. We share these with the child and encourage them to talk about it with their friends at preschool. Our 2 managers are available every day at drop off and collection to discuss anything you want to know. A summary report is shared with parents twice per year. On the summary we will show how their child has developed, what we will be working on next and how they can support their child's learning at home.

Our Managers give face to face feedback about the child's day.
We also use Tapestry to send regular observations and photographs of their child.
We share their child's learning face to face and on Tapestry. The keyperson give regular updates on what we are working on and the themes and activities in the setting. We encourage parents to upload photographs and observations from home onto Tapestry.
