Overview
Yoga using a chair for a physical practice, we can either sit or stand. We also practice deep breathing to enable the body to function optimally; this is called pranayama, meaning breath practice The postures are called asanas and there is a yoga flavour to this class, hence the name. However, there is a slight difference in that we do practice with resistant bands so to build up stength in the arms and legs. We end with a relaxation. There is no expectation and you only do what you can.
Afterwards, we have a cuppa and a chat, as being part of the group is an important part of our mental health.
This class is particularly useful for those who are unable to get up and down from the floor (as you would in a traditional yoga class).
