Child Accident Prevention Trust (CAPT)

Overview

The Child Accident Prevention Trust (CAPT) is the UK’s leading charity working to reduce the number of children and young people killed, disabled or seriously injured in accidents.

We exist because accidents are a leading cause of death and serious injury for children and young people.

Many of these accidents can be prevented.

Their website has a range of safety advice on some of the most common causes of accidents in and out of the home, fact sheets and free education resources for practitioners and to help keep children safe

CAPT also organises an annual Child Safety Week (opens in new tab) to highlight child safety issues.
