Overview
Hi all my name is Claire and this is my trusty sidekick Lemondrop. Together we make Lemondrop Kids Childminding Services.
I am fully registered as a Childminder Educator, based in Eastwood. I live with my partner and two cats, Pepper and Patch.
I have over 18 years experience of working with children from birth to 13yrs old in a home environment.
My setting offers home from home comforts with activities and adventures both in the home and out and about - with Lemondrop joining in too!
All my activities and adventures are planned with education and having fun in mind. I provide home cooked meals for all children in my care. I will teach your child to be kind to others, to listen and to have a voice.
There is no typical day in my household, some days we could do toddler groups (covid permitting of course), others a visit to the library, baking, crafting - lots of activities that are led by the children, but will include social interaction, educational, fun activities suitable for children's ages and abilities.

The house is purposely solely for our Childminding business, therefore all items are left out for the children to come to the next day. We have designed the house to be more like a home from home setting. We have a lovely long back garden which has sand trays, water play, bikes & various scooters as well as a wendy house and other educational toys to play with. We also have balancing beams and basket ball hoops for the older children to.
The house itself is divided into rooms for the children - Lemondrop's Room holds the babies and Strawberry Shortcake's Room holds the older 2 year olds and upwards. All toys in the different playrooms are designed for the ages and stages of development for the children assigned to those rooms.
We use the kitchen for many activities - the obvious one for eating and meeting up and meal times. We also use this space to do any messy play when we can go outside.
If you do come by bus, we are just located 5 minutes from the Rainbow 1 bus service. A 10 minute walk from Eastwood town centre (depending on which end of Eastwood you are). If you are travelling by car, you can park on the street if there are spaces - if not - we have permission from the pud opposite us for us to use their car park - just not on a Friday am due to their deliveries.

I generally do not charge by the hour. All my costs include meals. snacks, drinks. Visits to toddler groups, outings out and about in the car for visits to parks etc.
