Overview
This independent volunteer run association was established in 1982 and became a registered charity in 2011. The transport service is available to patients of the Collingham Medical Centre who would otherwise be unable to access transport to attend medical appointments. The Scheme receives a small grant from Nottinghamshire County Council and as a Registered Charity, journeys are undertaken at a reduced rate for Nottinghamshire residents.
Transport can be booked through a Co-ordinator on 07954 409049. The opening hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday (9.00am-3.00pm). A message can be left outside these times and a co-ordinator will respond as soon as possible.
We welcome any member from our local community who feels able to volunteer as a driver. Journeys undertaken include local and longer distances to suit each driver’s preference and availability. An additional volunteer co-ordinator working from home on a rota basis would also be most welcome. Please contact us on 07954 409049.
