Summer Holidays at Green’s Windmill and Science Centre

26th July 2026 – 11am to 3pm

FREE Cool Science workshops are back for more science fun at Green's Windmill! Led by retired physics teacher Cool Pete experiment with all manner of science based activities with an educational twist! Boring science lessons? No! These are interactive, jaw-dropping experiences that makes science unforgettable!

Runs from 11am-3pm with a 30 minute break around 1pm.

This time the theme is 'Great Scientists' including usual demos with liquid nitrogen, magnets, hair-raising and lasers maybe!

Workshop leader Pete Wearn is a STEM ambassador and his Cool Science offers inspiring and engaging science workshops with plenty of audience participation.

Costs

It's FREE to take part, but donations to Green’s Windmill Trust are welcome. There’s no need to book, just turn up. Entry to the venue is free.
