David Samuel Piano Lessons

David is not only an extraordinary teacher but an individual whose kindness, patience and talent uplift those around him. His passion for the piano is showcased through his teaching, allowing me to flourish and look forward to our lessons every week. Within these, he goes above and beyond to make me feel supported and comfortable. Throughout nearly a year of being with David, I have left every lesson with the feeling of inspiration and the desire to become the best pianist I can be.

David is the best music teacher I've ever had. He's rigorous and thoughtful, and incredibly responsive to my goals. If I have a problem playing something, he's always got an ingenious solution. David has a gift for explaining to students how to think about playing and about music itself. David is absolutely dedicated to the student's learning experience.

We focus on everything from scales, sight reading, playing pieces, understanding music theory, correct posture, hand exercises and improvisation. Without David’s guidance I wouldn't have made the progress I have made while falling in love with the piano. I couldn't recommend David enough if you want to learn the piano and also understand it at a pace tailored to you.

I have been having piano lessons with David for three years now and he has taught me from a complete beginner. His lessons are engaging and he takes a calm yet pedagogically sound approach. David emphasises the fundamental aspects of music such as sight reading, aural skills, and scales, while encouraging the discovery of new and exciting pieces to learn and play.
