Is this Railcard for you? A quick check to make sure you're eligible…

If you are disabled or have a progressive medical condition you are eligible for the Disabled Persons Railcard if you:

  • receive Personal Independence Payment (PIP) or Adult Disability Payment (ADP)
  • receive Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or Child Disability Payment (CDP) at either:
    • the higher or lower rate for the mobility component, or
    • the higher or middle rate for the care component
  • have a visual impairment
  • have a hearing impairment
  • have epilepsy
  • receive Attendance Allowance, Severe Disablement Allowance or Pension Age Disability Payment (PADP)
  • receive War Pensioner's Mobility Supplement
  • receive War or Service Disablement Pension for 80% or more disability
  • buy or lease a vehicle through the Motability scheme

You can use your Railcard as many times as you like. Just make sure to have it with you when you travel.

  • The Railcard discount is valid at any time of the day, no time restrictions
  • If you have an adult companion travelling with you, they can get the discount too as long as they travel with you throughout the journey.

Your Disabled Persons Railcard will save you ⅓ on the cost of these adult fares and tickets:

Standard and First Class Anytime tickets (Day, Single or Return)

Anytime Day - (Single and Return) tickets must be used on the date shown on your ticket and up to 4:29 am the following day.

Anytime Single - must be used within 2 days of the date shown on the ticket and up until 4:29 am after the last day of validity.

Anytime Return - Your journey out must be made within 5 days and up until 4:29 am after the last day of validity, with your return trip being within one calendar month and up until 4:29 am after the last day of validity.

For people with a disability meeting the eligibility criteria, the Disabled Persons Railcard offers 1/3 off rail travel for you and a friend or travel companion.

Just £20 for 1 year or £54 for 3 years, discounts are applicable on both peak and off-peak tickets.
