Ducklings Stapleford Pop Out and Play

Overview

Welcome to Ducklings Nursery in Stapleford – a safe, welcoming day nursery where your little one can grow.

Located on the suburbs of Nottingham, our new children’s nursery can be found in the Stapleford Community Pavilion – a new, £7.5million, state-of-the-art building that aims to bring together local people. This is the perfect home for our forward-thinking nursery, and we aim to support their mission of promoting active lifestyles by offering a unique curriculum that places a special focus on sports and physical education.

Our team is made up of a number of sports leaders and practitioners, who recognise that an early exposure to movement and physical activity can go a long way in improving a child’s motor skills, coordination, confidence and overall wellbeing. As one of the only local nurseries to take a sports-in-residence approach to learning, we welcome a number of expert instructors each term who introduce the children to a wide range of age-appropriate activities, from football and tennis to capoeira, gymnastics and more.

We make full use of all the sports facilities within the Pavilion, so your child has access to safe, modern facilities where they can explore and develop new skills.

Our curriculum incorporates the EYFS framework and develops into a new and more progressive approach that places sports and physical education at the core. We draw on the expertise of established organisations, such as the National Early Years Active Start Partnership (NEYASP), Early Years PE and the Education Endowment Foundation, to inform our way of working.

We believe in offering more than traditional child care, and we want to truly become a part of the local community by also offering parent and child wellness workshops that cover topics like stress management, mindfulness and healthy living.

Our ultimate objective is that every child will leave our nursery with the belief that they can physically achieve even the most challenging goals.
