Eastwood Memory Cafe

Overview

The 2nd Tuesday of every month

About Us

Founded in 2017, Eastwood Memory Cafe is a registered charity supporting people affected by dementia and their carers to live well.

The object of Eastwood Memory Cafe is to:

Relieve the needs and to preserve and protect the good health of those affected by dementia and their carers, in the NG16 and surrounding areas, by the provision of a regular Memory Cafe, information and support, planned activities, events and trips out, alongside virtual support and activities and engage with the wider community to actively encourage kindness, events and trips out, alongside virtual support and activities

We meet on the second Tuesday of every month from 12.30- 3pm at Plumptre Hall, behind St Mary’s Church at Eastwood.

We provide a warm welcome in a safe, non-judgemental space and consider all our guests and volunteers to be part of our EMC family. Please see our calendar page for the list of events we currently have lined up.

There is a nominal charge for our monthly meetings, with a simple lunch available at an additional cost. All money raised is reinvested into the Memory Cafe to ensure we can sustain our service long-term.

A relative/friend/supporter/carer must attend with the person affected by dementia as we are unable to provide respite care.
