Overview
Mondays and Thursdays
Sherwood Forest Foodbank works under the banner of the Trussell Trust which supports a nationwide network of food banks providing emergency food and support to people locked in poverty.
We provide nutritionally balanced food parcels containing enough non-perishable food to last an individual, couple or a family for three days.
We also provide essential toiletries, nappies, baby essentials and sanitary goods.
We also provide seasonal treats, cleaning products and pet food for cats or dogs (as and when available)
We are staffed entirely by a team of friendly, hardworking volunteers
We are resourced entirely by generous donations of food and money from members of the local community
Clients may come directly to the foodbank for their first visit. Following a first visit, if still in need, clients must be referred to us by support agencies such social workers, support workers, some local schools and some local GP surgeries
