Forest Recreation Ground Champion

Overview

Tuesdays and 1st & 4th Sunday Of Every Month

As one of our Park Champions at the Forest Recreation Ground you could be the eyes, ears and helping hands at this hub for the community. We are looking for volunteers who take pride in their local area who can help keep areas tidy and litter free, report issues and work with our Park Ranger to improve the park.
We are looking for enthusiastic people who want to help us care for the Forest Recreation Ground and want to make the space as inviting as possible to others. We know our parks and open spaces have been a lifeline to citizens during lockdown, ensuring they can get fresh air, exercise and have a place to relax and unwind.
This role can be undertaken at a time to suit you, although there will be opportunities to cover specific events and projects; Community gardening is held on Tuesdays and the second and fourth Sunday of the month, watering and weeding also required throughout summer. General task days are the first Wednesday of the month. Winter gardening group and conservation dates TBC.
We need you to help us be the eyes and ears of the park and make them as inviting as possible to visitors so they can continue to enjoy our open spaces.
