Overview
Helping at Home is a family-run home care provider in Newark, supporting adults across Nottinghamshire to stay living in their own homes. Care covers Newark, Southwell, Bingham, Ollerton and Retford, along with the villages around them: Balderton, Collingham, Farndon, Coddington, Winthorpe, North Muskham, Fernwood, Long Bennington, Lowdham, Farnsfield, Bleasby, East Bridgford, Bottesford, Whatton, Aslockton, Elton, Tuxford, Ordsall, New Ollerton and Bilsthorpe.
Support includes personal care, medication support, dementia support, companionship, respite for family carers, overnight care, live-in care, hospital discharge support and palliative care. Visits run from 30 minutes, seven days a week, between 7am and 10pm. Carers are directly employed rather than brought in through an agency, and we work to keep the same small team around each client wherever possible.
Courtney-Leigh Pike is our Registered Manager and oversees every care plan. The Care Quality Commission rates the service Good, following its assessment of 20 November 2025. On homecare.co.uk, families rate us 9.9 out of 10, and the site named us a Top 20 Home Care Provider in the East Midlands for 2026.
Care starts with an assessment at home, at a time that suits the family, with no obligation to go further. Nothing is agreed until you are ready.
Times and availability
Care visits: 7am to 10pm, seven days a week. Office line and email enquiries: 9am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday. Minimum visit: 30 minutes. Age range: adults aged 18 and over.

"Started with Helping at Home in January and having experienced 4-months of care for my mum we could not be happier. The visit timings are perfect, they vary no more than 15 minutes and the pool of carers who support mum is very consistent. Mum is very happy and speaks highly of all the carers with a couple of favourites.
