Overview
John T Rice is an Infant and Nursery School which caters for 3-7 year olds.
It is situated on the Newlands Estate which is part of the Forest Town area on the eastern side of the Mansfield district.
We currently have about 200 children on role with 150 full time children and 50 part time (nursery) children.
We have 8 teachers (including the Headteacher) and 8 teaching assistants (some part time).
The school has a tarmac playground and a surrounding landscaped area with lots of play equipment for both Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1.
We were rated as 'Good' in our last OFSTED inspection.

We are a small Infant and Nursery School we cater for children aged three to seven years old. We have trained and experienced staff that support children with a range of additional needs.
