Overview
Nethergate is a special academy in the City of Nottingham for pupils with moderate and complex learning difficulties. The age range is from 5-19 years with a range of ability extending from P6 - L6.
All of our pupils have learning difficulties and many have additional needs (Autism, social and emotional needs, physical needs, sensory needs, speech difficulties and /or medical needs).
All pupils/students have a Statement of Special Educational Needs or an Education Health and Care Plan which are reviewed annually. These documents identify pupils' needs. We continually assess pupils' progress using high quality formative assessments and teachers formally report assessment to SLT every term.
