Overview
Sandfield Day Nursery is an 86 place day nursery providing childcare for children aged 6 weeks - 5 years.
We cater for 2, 3 & 4 year old funding up to 30 hours.
We are open 51 weeks of the year from 7.30am - 6pm Monday - Friday, excluding bank holidays.
It is a purpose built, single storey building located inside a peaceful and relaxing community recreational park, close to the university, QMC and the city centre.
We only serve halal meat and can also cater for other dietary requirements.
The high ratio of staff to children, together with our superb facilities, is what makes our conveniently located nursery the best place for your son or daughter to start their education. Each room that we use is designed for a specific age group and is fitted with furnishings designed with safety and comfort in mind. We provide a unique opportunity for all children to learn through play and our ethos is designed to bring out the best in young children, encouraging them to constructively engage and interact with the world around them.
Our building has been specially constructed to consider all the needs of your children. It houses a special soft-play area, with spacious and light environments to encourage comfort, free play and learning. It also features specially designed child-friendly toilets, as well as all-important safety features such as CCTV monitoring, a monitored fire alarm and biometric door entry control system.

We are based within the park between Ilkeston and Derby Road, with easy reach to the University, QMC and the city.
There is parking bays located outside of the park for up to 2 hours free.

The Local Authority and Nottingham City Day Nurseries and Playgroups have worked together to develop Nottingham City Schools Provision Maps. These maps provide a framework for Early Years provision in Nottingham and show interventions that it is reasonable for settings to provide to pupils identified with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Our setting makes provision for pupils with SEND in line with this framework. The detail of the provision will vary depending on the needs of the children that attend.
