Overview
Wrap around care is available daily, during term time, with breakfast club starting at 7:50am and after school provision ending at 6pm.
We are a dedicated and hardworking school community who believe that children achieve well when taught within a positive atmosphere where each individual is valued and nurtured. Providing the best education through continued school improvement is at the heart of all we do.
Welcome to St Andrew's Nursery.
We have a large Nursery Unit offering a range of flexible places for 3 and 4 year old children. These include free 15 hour morning or afternoon places, as well as 30 hour free childcare for eligible families. 30 hour childcare is equivalent to a full time Nursery place (term time only).
We provide excellent professional education, support and care through a play-based, child-centred approach to learning. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum supported by Development Matters.

St Andrew’s School first opened in 1865 with 95 pupils. The original building now holds six Key Stage 2 classes. An extension was opened in 2002 which houses a library as well as a Year 5/6 class. Three Key Stage 1 classrooms are in an early 20th century building. A fourth infant classroom was added to this building in 2000 and a fifth in 2005 and our two Reception groups work here. The nursery (Foundation 1) was built and opened in 1976. The hall, dining room, kitchens, ICT suite and administrative rooms are found in a fourth building. Surprisingly, children find their way round these buildings more quickly than you would expect!
Over half of the children at St Andrew’s live in the small catchment area immediately surrounding the school.
