Dedicated Employment Specialists offering personalised one-on-one support
We support amazing people - including those who are either out of work or find it hard to retain a job due to disability or physical and mental health issues - to find, stay and thrive in employment.
The Individual Placement and Support in Primary Care (IPSPC) initiative, known locally as ‘Working Well East Midlands' is funded by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC). The service is delivered in Nottingham City, Broxtowe, Gedling, and Rushcliffe by East Midlands Chamber in partnership with Futures Advice Skills and Employment and Inspire Training.
Working Well East Midlands is aimed at adults who have a physical or mental disability, as defined by the Equality Act 2010, to help them move into competitive employment, providing the support they need to maintain that employment.
The service is based on a modified version of 8 key IPS principles as follows:
It aims to get people into competitive employment in the open labour market
It is open to eligible people who want to work 18+ years of age
It aims to find jobs consistent with people's preferences
It works quickly - a Place, Train and Maintain model of rapid activation and job search alongside delivery of work, health, and wider support needs
It brings IPS Employment Specialists into clinical teams
IPS Employment Specialists develop relationships with employers based upon a person's work preferences
It provides time limited, individualised support for the person and their employer
Access to specialist benefits advice is included
We work with people who...
are aged 18 or over
are unemployed or employed
live or registered with a GP surgery in Nottingham City, Broxtowe, Gedling and Rushcliffe
have a mental and/or physical health condition or disability (this can be self-defined).
