The University of Nottingham have developed an advice leaflet for concerned friends, family members, and carers, which provides information on:

Support organisations

Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Mental Health Crisis Line

Available 9am to 11pm, 7 days a week. This helpline is for anyone who needs emotional support or information about mental health services in Nottinghamshire.

You can call if you:

  • Are struggling with your mental health
  • Need information about local services
  • Want to speak to someone about issues like anxiety or low mood
  • Are a professional looking for advice on supporting others

Crisis support services

The Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Mental Health Crisis Line is available any time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 0808 196 3779 any time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

This service is for people of all ages who are experiencing a mental health crisis and need urgent help. You’ll speak to a local health worker who can help you get the right support.
