In Nottinghamshire, summer holidays run from Monday, 27 July 2026 until the end of August, with schools reopening for the autumn term in early September.

Bookings for the summer holidays are now open Wednesday 1 July.
HAF Holiday Activities are free for children who receive benefit related free school meals. Each child can book up to 12 sessions this summer. There are also some paid activities for children who are not eligible. We look forward to welcoming your child.

Get ready for non-stop fun with The Mill Adventure base Holiday Club. Designed for ages 7–13, each day is packed with high-energy activities, over a 6 hour fun, ranging from climbing, canoeing, zip wire and many more.

For older children aged 13 to 16 years there is the teenage holiday club, withe off site visits to the Peak District as well as climbing, caving and mountain biking.

The National Civil War Centre offers a variety of attractions, including galleries and temporary exhibitions that explore Civil War history. Visitors can also enjoy a diverse programme of events, from talks and learning opportunities to family activities during school holidays and exciting historical re-enactments, ensuring there's something for everyone.
