Nottinghamshire County Council’s Holiday Activity and Food (HAF) programme is back for the summer!

30 June 2026
Holidays activities and food programme for summer Nottinghamshire. Get involved in fun activities this school holiday!

Children and young people across the county will once again have access to engaging activities and nutritious meals during the school summer holiday.

HAF is part of Nottinghamshire's School Age Childcare and provides holiday activities and meals to children aged five to sixteen – ensuring they stay active and healthy outside of term time. The sessions are face-to-face, with supportive and friendly staff from different local providers. Children who receive benefits-related free school meals can also get their HAF place fully funded!

The programme has a range of activities happening across the county, including swimming, horse riding, youth clubs and more, and sessions for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Each activity also includes a nutritious meal.

Benefits of the programme for children include the chance to make new friends, learn about staying active and healthy, and take part in enriching and educational activities. It also helps grow confidence, resilience, and new skills.

Previous families have said:

“Staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, trained, and children feel safe with and around them.”

“It is an excellent opportunity for my children to experience new activities and make new friends.”

“My children have attended all of them so far and they love the team they work with and have made new friends. They have taught [my child] how to swim and now she loves it. I can't thank them enough for what the team do with them, thank you so much.”

If your child is aged between five and sixteen (or four if in school Reception), eligible for benefits-related free school meals, and lives in Nottinghamshire, don’t miss the opportunity for fully funded fun! Some clubs are OfSted registered, so you can use Tax free childcare to secure your place.
