Overview
Bulwell Riverside Play and Youth Centre is run by Nottingham City Council’s Adolescence Youth Service.
We provide a free, safe and welcoming space where young people can have fun, make friends, try new activities and access support.
Our youth development workers are here to listen, encourage and help young people build confidence, make positive choices and reach their full potential.
What's on offer:
We offer a range of activities, sessions and wellbeing support for young people aged 10–17. Activities include sports, music, creative arts and opportunities to develop new skills, build friendships and improve wellbeing.
Our service across Nottingham
Although Bulwell Riverside Play and Youth Centre is one of our main bases, Nottingham City Council’s Adolescence Youth Service delivers sessions and activities across Nottingham. As well as sessions in Bulwell, we offer activities at other locations, including Bestwood, Broxtowe, Hyson Green, Meadows and Sneinton.
This means young people from different areas of Nottingham can access a range of activities, opportunities and support.
Partnership delivery:
We work with a range of organisations to provide additional opportunities and support for young people. Our partners include the NHS sexual health team, Mental Health Support Team (MHST) and Helping Kids Achieve (HKA).
Our Facilities:
The centre offers a wide range of facilities and spaces for young people to enjoy, including a modern sports hall, basketball court, chill-out space, music recording studio and much more.
These facilities support a variety of sports, creative activities, music sessions and opportunities for young people to socialise, learn new skills and build confidence.
Who can attend?
We welcome young people from across Nottingham, including young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Most sessions are free, although some activities delivered in partnership with other organisations may have a charge.
