Hours: 9 hours per week, Monday to Sunday

3 x 3 hours, flexibility over which days available, ideally spread equally over the week.

9am start to help with getting out of bed

11am start otherwise.

Household has a cat and currently two dogs.

Individual is a smoker.

1 hour of three

Tasks:

Personal care and daily living support such as:

Assistance with shower or strip wash depending on pain levels and fatigue.

Preparing clothing, dry and dress as needed.

Allowing for plenty of time due to reduce mobility and balance due to joint instability, chronic pain and neurological condition.

Reset and light clean of bathroom afterwards.

2 hours of three

Also:

Meal planning, organisation and preparation to assist with healthier living.

Daily household support such as laundry, changing the bedding and generally maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Some animal care if open to do so.

The individual is independently able to transfer. Inside the home, she mobilises using furniture for support and rollator or a walking stick as needed. She also has a mobility scooter and electric wheelchair for use outdoors, however agoraphobia prevents her from ever going out alone independently. PA sought to building a trusting, professional relationship to enable the individual to start venturing out together eventually for improved mental and physical health.

The individual experiences physical health difficulties including joint instability, hypermobility, pain, fatigue and reduced stamina. These can make everyday activities more difficult and mean that she benefits from support delivered at a calm and appropriate pace. Having a good sense of humour would be highly appreciated.
