Job Description
Hourly rate: £18.91
Personal Care (1–1.5 hours per week)
Support with weekly showering.
Assistance before and after showering, including getting ready for bed.
Support to reduce the risk of falls associated with mobility difficulties and blood pressure changes caused by hot water.
Assistance with personal grooming where required.
Meal Preparation, Shopping and Household Tasks (1 hour per week)
Support with putting shopping away.
Assistance with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables and other tasks Service User is unable to complete safely due to reduced grip strength and dexterity.
Light household tasks to maintain independence and reduce physical strain.
Flexible Personal Care Support (1 hour per week)
To be used flexibly across the days the person attends work.
Support with washing, dressing, hair care, and other personal care tasks during periods of increased fatigue or pain.
Days and Times
The person requires support to be delivered flexibly around her family responsibilities and work commitments, with particular emphasis on ensuring her weekly shower support takes place on an agreed evening at a consistent time. As the person is a single parent to an autistic child, routine and reliability are essential. Support should therefore be planned in advance and delivered at agreed times wherever possible. Hours can be used flexibly across the week according to need.
