Find out what will happen if your short breaks application is successful, and what to do next if it is not.

I love going on trips and going for walks in the forest.
If your application is successful
If you have chosen a standard offer, the short breaks team will process the application. Our commissioning team will get in touch to let you know what happens next.
If your application is not successful
We understand you may be disappointed if your application is not successful. If your child or family situation changes, you can complete a new application.
We have details of other support services across the county which you may find helpful.

Appeal a decision
An appeals process is available for parents or carers and young people who do not agree with the outcome of:
- the online application form regarding their eligibility to receive a Nottinghamshire County Council funded short break
- The outcome of the child/young person’s short break review
You can appeal the decision by downloading the appeal form and returning it to the address listed on the form.
