Mealtimes in hospital for patients with dementia
People with dementia often have problems eating meals in hospital, which can lead to malnutrition.
The strange environment, disorientating noises and unfamiliar menu add to their disabilities associated with dementia. These disabilities can include perceptual problems, loss of communication and sensory impairments.
